Every day, the Community Health Education Program is finding new ways to engage and serve the community. These efforts of are guided by the belief that our entire county benefits when people are healthy.
Staff is available to provide and support health and wellness education in communities stretching across the county. Our program creates partnerships with community members through a wide variety of health and wellness programs, health talks, and chronic disease management services. We work with community groups and organizations throughout the county to bring health education programs to all surrounding neighborhoods. The Community Health Program provides health initiatives, education, and resources, including:
- Health assessments
- Screenings and education classes
- Health coaching
- Community resources and referrals
Our health educators are committed to strengthening our community and making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors and the communities we serve. Presentations can be scheduled at group meetings, health fairs, and school functions in Wakulla County. Educators can assist students looking for health related information.
